This will never not blow my mind. I am sitting in my living room, communicating instantly with people all over the whole world.

How awesome is LJ? I know people in the UK, Italy, Finland, Canada, France... Itapos;s really a miracle when you think about it.

And now I have a new phone, and I can check my email on that. And through that machine about the size of a deck of cards, I can communicate with *anyone*. Just about anywhere. (I know you can only get to the poles at certain times of day but theyapos;d still get my message eventually).

This phone is WAY cool. Itapos;s a Pantech Matrix and I guess I could use the webcam for you to see. And isnapos;t that a miracle too? You can SEE my ass in the ugly yellow shirt and the Leeanne hair (seriously, I love her, but itapos;s too limp). Listening to the Platters. Who sang 50 years ago... Long since dead... But I hear them as clear as the day they recorded it. And my phone has an mp3 player Just 2G, but thatapos;s enough for running around. I might not even need a car stereo if I get an iPod

So, my phone, as yet unnamed, is metallic red. Looks like chrome. Itapos;s very New York looking, like it has that attitude: "You lookin at me? You lookinapos; at ME?" vibe. So I need name suggestions. I thought maybe like Thing from Addams Family becasue it does everything Thing did (though Thing was always cool).
